Amit Levy

Assistant Professor of Computer Science


Amit Levy’s research focuses on building operating, distributed, and cloud systems that improve end-user security and privacy while increasing developer flexibility.

He completed a Ph.D. at Stanford in 2018, advised by David Mazieres and Philip Levis, and graduate from University of Washington in 2009 with a bachelors degree in computer science and economics. He developed and maintains the Tock Operating System, a low-resource operating systems for embedded systems for environments with high security requirements such as embedded secure elements, sensor networks, and IoT devices.
