New FCC chair Julius Genachowski gave a speech this week “Preserving a Free and Open Internet: A Platform for Innovation, Opportunity, and Prosperity” in favor of new Net Neutrality rules, aiming to keep the Internet open and neutral by regulating Internet Service Providers. We will discuss the speech, the pros and cons of net neutrality, and the prospects for FCC policy in the new administration.
