Tuesday, November 9, 2021
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

306 Sherrerd Hall

The Princeton TechSoc Reading Group is dedicated to exploring the interrelationships between technology and society, with an emphasis on IT policy issues. Subscribe here to the email list.

On November 9 we’ll be discussing the role of users as stakeholders in tech.

Below are some materials we recommend reviewing before the meeting:

  • “Technologies of control and our right of refusal,” Seeta Peña Gangadharan – blog post or TED Talk
  • “How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy,” Jenny Odell – if you haven’t read it, here’s a quick book review
  • “Are Black creators on TikTok getting credit for their creative work?” – Nightline video
