Food and discussion begins at 12:30 pm. Everyone invited.

Drones are coming to American airspace, with implications for privacy, police work, and news gathering. Attorney and privacy advocate Grayson Barber will discuss selected issues related to the domestic use of drones, from your right to control the airspace above your home to the perils of launching unmanned aerial vehicles the size of flying lawnmowers.

Grayson will bring her drone to fly around CITP. It is not weaponized, but it has nifty cameras that are unregulated by the FAA. Like computers, drones will become smaller and cheaper — and raise new questions about security and privacy.
