This week’s Work-in-Progress session will be led by Surya Mattu and Micha Gorelick. Surya and Micha are co-leads of the Digital Witness Lab, a new research laboratory at CITP created to support data journalism with engineering expertise

In this presentation we will introduce the Digital Witness Lab and share our vision for the lab as well as why we are focusing on collaborating with journalists. We will also discuss the data collection platform we are building for our first project, WhatsApp Watch, as well as the investigations we are planning to use it for. Feedback on methods, investigation subject, potential collaborators or anything else is welcome!

The CITP Works in Progress (WiP) Seminar meets weekly during the semester. This reading group is open to any Princeton affiliate  including faculty, staff and undergraduate and graduate students.
