Mako Hill will lead the TechSoc reading group for the 2023-24 year.
The plan is to meet every other week and to have everybody who is participating sign up to “host.” Hosting means that you’ll pick something to read, watch, etc. — i.e., something in your wheelhouse that you’d love to talk to the rest of us about.
Mako Hill will host the first meeting and he has selected a new paper that touches on a range of issues folks have mentioned being interested in:
Steinsson, Sverrir. 2023. “Rule Ambiguity, Institutional Clashes, and Population Loss: How Wikipedia Became the Last Good Place on the Internet.” American Political Science Review, March, 1–17.
