CITP’s CS grad students present at FTC’s PrivacyCon

Princeton CS Ph.D. students Sarthak Grover and Steven Englehardt presented at the FTC’s PrivacyCon on January 14, 2016. Sarthak presented his results on privacy vulnerabilities that he found in various Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including Google’s Nest thermostat. Steve presented his development of a web measurement platform, OpenWPM, in a presentation called “The Web Never Forgets,” and has published several impactful measurement studies on web tracking. See Steven’s blog post on Freedom to Tinker.
