Manoel Horta Ribeiro

Manoel Horta Ribeiro is an assistant professor at Princeton University in the Department of Computer Science, affiliated with the Princeton Center for Information Technology Policy (CITP). I received my doctoral degree in Switzerland at EPFL’s Data Science Lab, working with Bob West, and my MSc and BSc in Brazil at UFMG.  I work at the intersection of computational social science, artificial intelligence, and social computing. I like doing research that tackles real-world issues and provides actionable insights. Ideally, these insights translate into policy and design changes. My work has also received extensive media coverage, helping shape the public debate around online platforms and generative AI.
