Bio:

Lauren holds a Ph.D. in information science from Cornell University. She studies the social implications of technology design and use, with a focus on criminal justice contexts. Her research has been supported by organizations and institutions such as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Cornell University, University of Toronto, and Technische Universität Berlin (TU-Berlin), and has appeared in venues such as The Information Society, MIT Technology Review, The New York Times, and more.
