Congratulations to Edward W. Felten, CITP’s director and a professor of computer science and public affairs, on his appointment to an endowed chair by the Princeton Board of Trustees on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Professor Felten’s new title is “Robert E. Kahn Professor of Computer Science and Public Affairs.”
Robert E. “Bob” Kahn is a Princeton alumnus and is considered to be one of the fathers of the Internet. Kahn, along with Vint Cerf, co-designed the TCP/IP protocol, which is the most important technical standard used by the Internet.
