Undergraduate Certificate: Program in Technology and Society, Information Technology TrackCITP has implemented a new minor program entitled Computing, Society and Policy beginning with students graduating 2027 and beyond. The Technology and Society Certificate program will remain available for 2026 students only. Please note: Senior graduating in spring 2026 who want to join the certificate must fill out the application by May 15, 2025. After May 15, 2025 seniors must obtain their adviser’s approval. The adviser will then need to submit a “Dean’s Action” form to the registrar’s office for late registration. You will be added to the certificate once this approval is processed.Information technology (IT) broadly covers the computation and communication technologies that permeate virtually all aspects of corporate and social activity. The products and services enabled by it have had a major impact on the world economy and on social interactions. As we look to the future, emerging technologies in IT continue to address critical societal challenges such as economic development, health care, politics, education, productivity, government and social organization.
