On May 8, 2025, Princeton hosted their annual Research Day where undergraduate students Vitus Larrieu '26, Department of Computer Science; Trace Zhang '26, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; and Nora Graves '26, Department of Computer Science, received the Sustainability Research Award for their project titled GPTFootprint: Increasing Consumer Awareness of the Environmental Impacts of LLMs.

This award, sponsored by the Office of Sustainability, prioritizes research that uses the campus as a living laboratory for sustainability problem-solving or focuses on sustainability issues at local, regional, or global scales. The team's advisors include Professor Andrés Monroy-Hernández and Ph.D. student Varun Rao.
