“Princeton University researchers will push the limits of data science by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning across the research spectrum in an interdisciplinary pilot project made possible through a major gift from Schmidt Futures,” and CITP will be part of that project. The two Schmidt Data Scientists hired by CITP will work on a broad range of technology policy topics including data-science topics, security and privacy, bias and fairness issues, manipulation of data for social or political aims, broadband mapping, internet of things security, blockchain analytics and long run implications workforce implications of advances in artificial intelligence to name a few.
