Princeton undergraduates are invited to apply for the CITP 2017 Tech Policy Boot Camp, a three-day fall break trip to Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Center for Information Technology Policy (CITP).

The program will include visits to a wide variety of organizations that participate in the technology policy process, as well as the opportunity to meet alums and talk about how to get involved in the area. Last year’s trip included discussions with experts working for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the State Department, the Center for Democracy & Technology, the FCC, the FTC, Vox and more.

The group will leave Princeton early on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, and return late on Friday, November 3, 2017. CITP will cover all expenses. To apply, please provide the following information: your name, year, major, and a one-paragraph mini-essay explaining why you want to participate. Your application should be emailed to, with the subject line “Fall Break Application”.

All Princeton undergraduates are welcome to apply, regardless of year or major. We will consider, along with other selection criteria, whether students have been involved with CITP, for example through participation in our certificate track, attendance at our events, or internship work funded by us.

The deadline to submit applications is Monday, September 25, 2017. Applicants will be notified if they were selected for the trip the following week.
