Nick Feamster and his computer science students attend the 23rd Annual Capital Hill Exhibition to demonstrate their IoT Security Research

Professor Nick Feamster and computer science students, Daniel Wood, Gudrun Jonsdottir and Rohan Doshi, were recently sponsored by the Computer Research Association (CRA) to attend the Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) at the 23rd Annual Capitol Hill Exhibition. The goal of the exhibition is to show Congress members how important funding by the National Science Foundation (NSF) is to research and education programs.

Nick and his students “demonstrated multiple pieces of technology for monitoring security of consumer Internet of Things (IoT) devices on a home network.”

The trip to DC was made possible by CITP’s On the Road series, sponsored by the Jerome C. Blum Memorial Fund.
