Arvind Narayanan to present paper on how your “anonymous” web browsing could be linked to your social media accounts

CITP’s Arvind Narayanan, along with Stanford researchers, show in a new paper how your supposedly anonymous web browsing history can be linked to your social media accounts. The paper is entitled “De-anonymizing Web Browsing Data with Social Networks,” and will be presented in April at the World Wide Web Conference in Perth, Australia. The story is on the Princeton University home page today, and a pdf of the paper can be read here.
